We recently reported our attendance at a briefing session outlining the Electricity Network Transformation Roadmap, a research collaboration between the CSIRO and the Energy Networks Association.
Energy users are all too aware that our industry is in the midst of significant transformation with the rise in distributed generation and the so-called “death spiral” for electricity networks. New business models are emerging that threaten the traditional utilities and networks. Consumers are getting more leverage and becoming “prosumers” with distributed generation expanding. The Roadmap study is exploring the changes that need to occur in the regulatory space between now and 2027 so that the 2027 electricity market will be resilient and cope with this transformation.
Consumer involvement is critical to this project- and we are delighted to confirm that John Phillpotts from CSIRO Energy, will be delivering a presentation at the Victorian Energy Forum on the Electricity Network Transformation Roadmap.
Join us at the Victorian Energy Forum, where a packed program of industry experts, policy makers, regulators and commentators will discuss the vast array of issues and developments of significance to energy users. Also speaking at the forum are the Hon Lily D'Ambrosio MP, Victoria's Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change and ACCC Chair Rod Sims.
Registrations are now open for Victoria's premier event for energy users. Will we see you on Wednesday, 24 August at Melbourne's Park Hyatt? Our group registration offer makes attendance at Victoria's premier event for energy users more affordable than ever:
