National Climate Change & Energy Efficiency Briefing

When:  Wednesday 25 August 2010

Where: Swissotel Sydney,  68 Market Street

This event couldn’t come at a more important time with the uncertainty created by shelving of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) and changes to the expanded Renewable Energy Target (RET) meaning that decision making on climate change policies is even more fraught.  In addition, there is a push for greater energy efficiency including the formation of a Prime Ministerial Task Force.  Having up-to-date information and access to expertise is important for effective and timely responses to the changing world of climate change.  However, business goes on and decision making in the face of uncertainty is even more difficult.  Staying abreast and knowing what's going on and what it means is even more important at this time of uncertainty.  This event will help you deal more effectively with the climate change issues - emissions trading, renewable energy, energy efficiency - they will all be covered.

It's a mistake to fall into the trap of thinking that the shelving of the CPRS also means shelving in dealing with climate change and energy efficiency issues.

Hear and discuss first-hand what local and international commentators, Government, end users, and market participants say about Climate Change policy and how it affects energy.
