Our energy ecosystem is being dramatically reshaped by changing consumer behaviour, renewable energy, batteries and new energy users. Large industrial and commercial energy users — particularly the engine-room industries that Australia was built on — are evolving too. But is it fast enough? Can they keep up and remain internationally competitive? And will the changing environment, contracting and pricing structures work for large energy users into the future?
These are some of the challenging questions we will explore at the EUAA 2027 National Conference, on 2–3 June at Crown Promenade in Melbourne.
The EUAA National Conference is our signature event, bringing together major commercial and industrial energy users alongside market operators, policymakers, networks, regulators, technology providers and other leaders from across the sector to:
- Understand and interpret the forces reshaping energy markets
- Explore the opportunities and challenges presented by new technologies and changing demand
- Share practical strategies, experiences and lessons learned
- Debate the policy and market settings needed to support investment and competitiveness
- Build connections and identify opportunities for collaboration
- Look ahead to what the next decade of large-scale energy use might bring
