The Energy Users Association of Australia (EUAA) has announced Mr Andrew Richards will be joining the organisation as its new Chief Executive Officer. EUAA Chair Brian Morris said Andrew’s background as a corporate communications, political advocate and stakeholder engagement specialist in the energy sector will provide EUAA’s membership with untold benefits. ‘The energy sector is highly dynamic and constantly evolving’, said Mr Morris. ‘Andrew Richards is a highly respected leader from within our industry and we are thrilled to have such an experienced, well-connected executive join the EUAA.’ Andrew has over 28 years of energy industry and infrastructure development experience and has been deeply involved either as a director or committee member of a diverse range of energy industry bodies including the Clean Energy Council, Electricity Supply Association Australia, and the Australian Industry Group. ‘Australian energy users can feel confident that he will lead the EUAA through the often turbulent and politically fraught policy environment’ concluded Mr Morris. ‘I’ve been fortunate to work with the EUAA as a stakeholder for many years so I’m thrilled to be joining the organisation as CEO’ said Andrew. ‘I look forward to meeting with the many EUAA members in the coming months and to working with them to develop products and services that deliver value to their business.’ ‘I am committed to ensuring the views of EUAA members are well represented at both state and federal levels of government and that energy consumers have a strong voice in all key energy decisions.’
