The Energy Users’ Association of Australia (EUAA) wishes to acknowledge the important and lasting impacts of the advocacy and leadership provided by Energy Consumers Australia’s (ECA) inaugural CEO, Rosemary Sinclair. It was announced today that Ms Sinclair would be leaving ECA to take on a role outside the energy industry.

“Rosemary has been a tireless and intelligent advocate and has given a voice in the energy debate to millions of households and small business,” said EUAA CEO, Andrew Richards.

The EUAA has worked closely with Rosemary and ECA over many years and have always enjoyed a meaningful and collaborative working relationship.

“Rosemary’s pragmatic style and focus on finding solutions to the challenging issues facing energy users grappling with the enormous transition underway in energy markets has been a feature of her approach. She will be sorely missed.”

“We wish Rosemary the very best in her new role and we look forward to continuing our constructive and collaborative working relationship with ECA Acting CEO Lynne Gallagher and her team. “

The EUAA represents large energy users, some of whom who are spending $1 million per day on energy. Many large energy users are seeking solutions to rising energy costs and have invested billions into energy efficiency, system upgrades, storage, renewable energy, demand response and many other measures with the aim of reducing energy consumption and costs.
